Welcome to Molly Green's Tattoo Studio
Hi and welcome to Molly Green's Tattoo and Piercing, we are a collective of tattoo artists based in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, West Wales. We have been established since 2013 and offer all styles of tattooing, from realism and portraiture to traditional and fine line, colour or black and grey, we do it all.
We have 4 artists: Phil, Taylor, Kelly (who is also the piercer) and Callum. Scroll down and let us introduce ourselves....

Meet the team....

Phil...
Hi my name is Phil Mortimer and I started Molly Green's in October 2013 after becoming sick and tired of working for a boss, I wanted to become my own boss. I am a self taught tattoo artist, I studied art and photography at St Helens School of Art and Design and Wigan Art College in the early 90's where I met my wife Roo, who is a partner in the business, and moved to Pembrokeshire in 1996, I am proud owner of 3 kids, love loud music, horror movies and video games. My favourite styles of tattooing are black and grey portraits and anything geeky, especially comic book characters.
Taylor....
Hey! My name is Taylor, I'm a tattoo artist based here in Molly Green's. I started my apprenticeship with Phil in 2022 and it was the best decision I ever made. I love tattooing bold, colourful pieces with solid linework but I'm always down for something a little more delicate....
Check out my work on Facebook or Instagram

Kelly....
Hi my name is Kelly, I'm a piercer and apprentice tattoo artist. I decided I would like to become a piercer in Lockdown after turning down a place at Bristol Uni and went on to do a piercing course at Slack Alice's Piercing Academy. After living in Bristol for a few years I decided it was time to move home and braved asking Phil and Roo for an apprenticeship. Fast forward three years and I'm a fully qualified piercer and have recently started a tattoo apprenticeship with Phil. I couldn't be happier working and learning at our friendly little studio. I love all things folky, quirky and have to have a little wonky star to finish of my flash designs.
Callum....
S'appnin Bhut! My names Callum, I'm the newest member of the team and Phil's latest apprentice! I love to paint and draw, I especially like bold colourful graffiti style of artwork. I like keeping fit, running and lifting, it's a big part of my life. I also have a cute but evil French Bulldog called Obi. I like being out and about so if you see me, come say Hi! The tattoos I've mainly been doing are American Traditional but I would love to do more Japanese, fine line and blackwork stuff. Give me a follow and check out my work and stupid videos on Instagram and TikTok

All of our artists have passed a Level 2 qualification in Infection Prevention and Control for Special Procedures Practitioners, hold a valid DBS certificate, are fully insured and operate to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Aftercare
Tattoo Aftercare....
Your new tattoo has been dressed with a second skin dressing which is waterproof but permeable to allow your skin to breath. Please leave this dressing in place for 5 days. After 5 days you may carefully remove the dressing, it can be tricky to remove so you can hold a tissue soaked in warm water over it or run t under warm water in the shower to help loosen the dressing, you may see some redness where the dressing has been, this is normal and will reduce over the next day or so. Any sticky residue can be removed with baby oil. You will need to apply a small amount of tattoo aftercare cream to the new tattoo several times a day until it is completely heled which could be a few weeks. We recommend getting a cream specifically for tattoo aftercare, we have top quality cream available for purchase, however any good quality, natural moisturiser will do. DO NOT use antiseptic cream on your tattoo. Please avoid the sea, swimming pools, saunas, baths and hot tubs for 2 weeks after your tattoo and avoid putting fake tan and make up for the same period. UV light isn't a friend of tattoo ink so please protect from sunlight. If you follow instructions you will reduce the risk of infection, your tattoo will heal quicker and will stay looking awesome for years to come. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact the studio....
While your piercing heals it's important to keep it clean, this includes washing your hands with soap and water when you touch the area. Germs from your hands can be transferred to the piercing site. The time it takes to heal will depend upon the location and type of piercing, newly pierced skin can feel tender, itchy and look red. Do's and Dont's. DO keep it clean. Clean your piercing twice a day with a purchased saline solution sachet or mix 1/4 teaspoon of with a shot glass of warm water and gentle apply with gauze. DON'T use cotton wool as it can fray and get caught in the jewellery. DO secure the jewellery. Check the balls on the jewellery are screwed on tight. DO keep it dry. Dry the piercing using fresh and clean paper towel to pat dry. don't share paper towels. DON'T sunbathe. Including sunbeds for 2 weeks. DON'T swim. Avoid swimming for 24 hours. DON'T wear tight clothing. This is to stop clothes rubbing or sticking to your new piercing. You should avoid sleeping on it as much as possible and try not to knock it. DON'T play with your piercing, or pick scabs or crust. Downsizing. Once the initial swelling of your piercing has gone down you will need to have the bar changed for a shorter one to allow for more comfortable healing and to avoid migration. Please contact me to make a downsize appointment. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Rinse your mouth with a sensitive non alcohol mouthwash for 30 - 60 seconds Rinse 5 times daily: After meals and before bed. Use a new toothbrush. DO NOT play with the jewellery, or click it against your teeth. DO NOT twist or rotate jewellery. Avoid smoking! It increases risks and lengthens healing time. If you have to smoke, cut down as much as possible and use mouthwash after every cigarette. After 4 weeks come back and have the bar changed. Your piercing is and open wound so you must avoid other people's bodily fluids, so o French kissing or oral sex. Failure to comply opens you up to the risk of STD's. For lip piercings follow the general aftercare guidance for the outside of your piercing.

Please make sure you have a good night’s sleep before your appointment, no drink or drugs should be consumed on the night before. If you arrive under the influence of drink or drugs, your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit will be lost.
On the day of your appointment please arrive in good time, if you are going to be late, please let us know A.S.A.P, if you are more than 1 hour late your appointment will be rescheduled and a new deposit will need to be paid. Have plenty to eat before your appointment, you may want to bring a snack and drink with you, if your appointment is a long session then please bring some substantial food, this can help cope with the pain of a tattoo. Please feel free to bring a tablet or phone to watch movies on, but please make sure you have headphones.
If you would like to bring someone with you, that’s fine, but they will not be allowed into the tattoo area, they will have to wait in the waiting area.
If you are suffering from any health conditions that may affect your ability to have a tattoo please contact us prior to paying your deposit as you may need written consent from your GP.
Make sure you are wearing suitable clothing which will allow access to the area to be tattooed, white or light coloured clothing may not be suitable due to pigment being permanent and may not come out if spilled on clothes. Bring an extra layer of clothing as it is common to feel cold after a tattoo session.
I would prefer it if you don’t use numbing cream, however if you feel you need to use numbing cream, it MUST be a brand that has been approved for use by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency. You will need to prove that it is approved for use on tattoos, so please bring the packaging with you, if you can’t prove it I will not be able to do the tattoo and your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit lost.
